About Linda

Hello! I’m Linda
I am a registered clinical counsellor (#17139) with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors and I have a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. I have over 25 years of experience supporting and counselling individuals affected by trauma, grief, and addiction.

My Belief
My belief is that people learn coping strategies and defense mechanisms over time. While these were once helpful for self-protection, they now create barriers to living a life filled with healthy connections. I believe that everyone has the capacity to heal and the ability to learn new skills to become free of overwhelming fear, anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction
My Purpose
My purpose is to provide a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental presence that creates a safe space for clients to grow in self-awareness, self-understanding, and self-compassion. My own personal history of trauma, healing, and growth motivates me to help others. My experience of finding self-worth, self-love, self-compassion, safety, and connection inspires me to share that possibility with others.
My Goal
My goal is to help my clients gain an understanding of the patterns that are holding them back and causing them to think, feel, and behave in ways that are harmful and not helpful. I help them understand their nervous system and the ways they have tried to feel safe in the world. I help them find their way back to their inner knowing, strength, and wisdom.
